Since Chesil Theatre became our home in 1962, we've outgrown our building, and new regulations necessitate upgrades. With our recent land purchase and planning consent, it's the perfect time to expand.​

Inclusive Access:

  • Separate dressing rooms, including legal requirements for young participants
Additional Enhancements:
  • New performance, rehearsal, and activity spaces, especially for Chesil Youth Theatre
  • Foyer/bar/café for a better visitor experience
  • Daytime activities for older people and Chesil Outreach
  • Accessible wardrobe and props store for theatre groups and schools
  • Affordable room hire for community and arts groups

Timeline:

  • 2025: Demolition of No. 14 Chesil Street.
  • 2026: Start main structure construction.
  • 2027-2028: Construction completed.
